Trustworthy Team

My family's first contact with CTAH occurred in 2001, and our most recent visit was April 9, 2008. Over the years CTAH Vets, Technicians and Office Staff have proved to be indispensible allies for our multi-critter household. They have seen us through many happy and sorrowful times with our pets. And NEVER have we left their facility feeling like we would have been better off somewhere else. Last year, we moved some distance away from Pflugerville, but kept CTAH as our primary veterinary provider. We always say that our animals get better health care than we do!

CTAH is a part of our family.

Our poodle was hit by a car and Dr. Banks saved her life, Dr. Modak correctly diagnosed a rare liver problem with our second dog and he thus remains healthy today. Isn't it funny how our dogs enter our hearts? We would do anything for our canine family that gives us unconditional love and sloppy kisses. The most important thing we did for Charlie, Angel, and Abby was to take them to CTAH. The entire staff loves them. And, Janice is the best groomer we have ever had.

Don't know what I'd do without them

The folks at CTAH are absolutely wonderful! I moved here in 1999 when I had one 2-year old beagle. Since then, I've added two more beagles to my crew, plus countless more hounds that I've fostered for Hound Rescue. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else. The entire staff are very caring, thoughtful people. They understand that our animals are more than just animals to us, they are family too. Dr. Banks is our favorite, but all the vets are very skillful. We've been there so many times through the years that not only do the docs know my dogs on site, but so do all the techs and the admin staff up front. I'd be lost without them all. I can't wait to see their newly expanded facility! My dogs give them five arfs, er, stars!

Whose dog is it?

After moving to the area, I called Central Texas Animal Hospital to see if they would renew my dog's presciption for medicine for his glaucoma. After many questions and promising to have his records faxed from a canine eye specialist in Dallas and his life-long vet, I made an appointment to have his prescription renewed. When I arrived I filled out more information and once again gave the same history to the vet who had his records in hand but did not look at them. By just looking at my dog, she said he had Cushings disease, liver failure, a pending heart attack from teeth tarter and needed to be neutered. Just to be sure a complete blood panel should be ordered. When I got the quote for the blood work and surgery it was close to $1200, not counting the office visit. My dog is 11+ so I thought a second opinion would be best and said I'd think about it. Dr Banks then refused to give me a prescription because "He won't need it if you get the surgery somewhere else". Needless to say, I'd rather drive back to Dallas and stay in a hotel to have my dog treated by his life long vet up there than have someone cut into him here.
